The Pittsburgh Public Safety Department said in a social media post that Pittsburgh Police were alerted to a shooting on Penn Avenue at North Highland around 4:22 p.m. on March 16. At the scene, responding officers located a male in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. The victim, who is believed to be in his 60s, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head and neck.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. PPSD says witnesses report that a male dressed in all black walked up and shot from the passenger side into the vehicle before fleeing the scene. Authorities are reviewing camera footage to identify and apprehend the suspect.
