Pittsburgh Police are investigating a triple shooting that occurred just before 8 p.m. on Saturday. The Pittsburgh Public Safety Department reports that Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Marion Street for a ten-round Shot Spotter alert.
At the scene, responding units found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the street. One adult male was pronounced deceased at an area hospital. A second adult male and an adult female were transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
They were immediately taken into surgery, according to PPSD. Authorities say witnesses described an altercation that occurred on Fifth Avenue before an adult male opened fire on the three victims.
The suspect reportedly fled on foot heading north on Vine Street towards Colwell Street.
