The Pittsburgh Public Safety Department announced that police are investigating a fatal shooting on Maytide Street. Around 8:45 p.m., Zone 3 officers responded to reports of a shooting on Maytide Street. At the scene, officers found an adult male victim believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s on the front porch of his residence.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. Medics transported the man to the hospital in critical condition before he succumbed to his injuries. According to authorities, there are no witnesses. Mobile Crime and Violent Crime Unit detectives responded to the scene to investigate.
