On Friday morning, a man was fatally shot in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh Police Department is investigating the shooting. The Pittsburgh Public Safety Department reports that Zone 2 officers responded to three Shot Spotter alerts totaling nine rounds at the intersection of Bedford Avenue and Watt Lane around 12:30 a.m.
At the scene, responding officers found an adult male victim in the street suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics.
PPSD says the Mobile Crime Unit responded to process evidence including video footage and shell casings. Detectives with the Violent Crime Unit are investigating the fatal shooting.
