Pittsburgh Police investigating after woman stabs man in the buttocks thinking he bit her

The Pittsburgh Public Safety Department said in a social media post that police and EMS responded to the 2700 block of Zephyr Avenue just after 10 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. Officers reached the residence and found three adults, two females and one male. PPSD said all three were known to each other.

Before officers arrived, the females were engaged in an argument. At one point, one of the women was bitten. She suspected it was the male so she stabbed him. The male victim sustained a stab wound to the buttocks. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The bitten female was evaluated by medics. According to PPSD, charges of Simple Assault are pending for all three.
