Pierce County Sheriff’s Department investigating murder-suicide of 70-year-old male and 50-year-old male partner

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a possible murder-suicide in Puyallup. According to PCSD, deputies responded to a welfare check at the Alderra Apartments in Puyallup around 2:50 p.m. on April 2, 2024.

The caller informed authorities that a 70-year-old man and his 50-year-old partner had not been seen in three weeks. Deputies responded to the residence and received a key to check on the couple. Once they entered the apartment, they found both men deceased in a hospice bed in the living room.

PCSD says both men were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Detectives and Forensic Investigators responded to the scene to investigate. Detectives do not believe there are any outstanding suspects at this time.
