The State Attorney’s Office for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit announced that a man had been convicted of two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Battery. The news release reveals that the jury returned a guilty verdict against Peter Ramos following a two-day trial in Charlotte County, Florida. The case was prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Alexa Lipham and Kristan Burns.
In October 2022, the Goffstown Police Department in New Hampshire received a report of a possible sexual battery on a child that occurred in Charlotte County. The incident was investigated by the Goffstown Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit. The investigation confirmed the identity of the suspect as the defendant, Peter Ramos, according to authorities.
Detectives downloaded Snapchat videos captured by the victim showing the defendant interacting with them. Detectives from the Goffstown Police Department contacted the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit to hand over the investigation. Charlotte County detectives looked at the evidence and concluded that the videos corroborated the victim’s claims.
In one video, Ramos allegedly enters the victim’s room and speaks in a lewd manner. Authorities say the crime happened in a rented Airbnb. Ramos is scheduled to be sentenced on January 11, 2024.
