The Peoria Police Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Monday. The Peoria Police Department reports that officers responded to a 13-round Shot Spotter alert in the 500 block of West Hanssler Place around 9:13 p.m. on May 6, 2024.
A short time later, PPD received another Shot Spotter alert indicating 15 rounds fired in the 500 block of West Loucks Avenue. Officers arrived on West Loucks and found a 25-year-old female victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are investigating the shooting. No suspect information is available at this time.
