The Oxnard Police Department has arrested multiple offenders following a vehicle pursuit. Around 7:19 p.m. on December 27, 2023, Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of D Street and Guava Street. When the vehicle failed to yield, a pursuit was initiated. It continued west on Hemlock toward Victoria Avenue until the pursuit was canceled due to the suspect’s reckless driving.
A few minutes later, witnesses in the 4000 block of West Hemlock Street reported seeing suspects fleeing an abandoned vehicle. Some residents witnessed the subjects fleeing through their rear yards. Officers responded and found the abandoned vehicle in the 4000 block of West Hemlock Street. Residents continued providing updates to dispatch and officers. The four suspects were apprehended in the 2100 block of Greencastle Way.
All four were arrested on various charges. Violent Crimes Unit investigators responded to interview two of the suspects in regard to ongoing robbery investigations. Oxnard Police identified the driver as Oscar Rojas who was charged with felony evading. Two passengers were identified as Jose Rocha and Yordi Diaz. Rocha was arrested for robberies involving five separate cases. Rocha was arrested for felony warrants related to six separate robbery cases.
A third passenger was arrested for trespassing on private property.
