A 61-year-old Owensboro man is behind bars after being arrested for allegedly possessing child sexual abuse material. The Owensboro Police Department reports that it carried out a search warrant in connection to five Internet Crimes Against Children task force investigations that were reported by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

OPD says the investigation led to 61-year-old Joseph Maxberry being identified as the suspect in each case. OPD detectives arrested Maxberry with help from the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch.

Maxberry is charged with 60 counts of Distribution of Matter Portraying Sex Performance by a Minor Under 12 Years of Age and Possession of Matter Portraying Sex Performance by a Minor Over 12 Years of Age.
