The Owen County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a death with assistance from the Indiana State Police and the Bloomington Police Department. OCSO reports that Malik Sims was found alongside a rural County Road in Own County on July 15, 2024.

At this time, the cause of death has not been determined. An autopsy is still pending. OCSO says no other details will be shared with the public. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Detective Nathan Martin with the OCSO at 812-829-5757.
