The Overland Park Police Department is currently investigating a road rage incident that led to a shooting. According to OPPD, the department received a report of a road rage incident that occurred westbound I-435 near US 69 Hwy around 6 a.m. on March 26, 2024. OPPD says the victim was traveling westbound in the inside lane.
A vehicle in front was traveling in the same lane at a slower pace. The victim told authorities that he moved over one lane and began to pass the slower vehicle. The suspect vehicle allegedly swerved into the victim’s vehicle hitting it. As the victim began to pull over to the shoulder, their driver-side rear window shattered.
A bullet hole was later found in the driver-side headset. The driver was not injured. The suspect vehicle is being described as a white four-door sedan.
