The Ottawa Police Department is investigating a shooting. Earlier today, officers with the Ottawa Police Department responded to the 900 block of South Maple Street for a welfare call. At the scene, officers found a 56-year-old male deceased inside a home.

Detectives say the victim died of what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. At this time, no additional information is available.
