The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection to a fatal shooting investigation. OCSO reports that deputies responded to the area of 1983 Fortune Road at the Ponderosa RV entrance about a battery/traffic crash on June 12, 2024.
At the scene, deputies found a male subject lying on the ground near a spent casing. Deputies attempted life-saving measures until Fire Rescue reached the scene and transported the male victim to an area hospital.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the area hospital. OCSO says the suspect, Kevin Duda, was apprehended a short time later in a nearby area. It is believed the victim and suspect knew each other.
The suspect is currently being held on an unrelated warrant.
