Orlando Police arrest two suspects in shooting of adult male and four-year-old girl

Update – Orlando Police say Anahi Brigitte Serrato Navarrete gave a fake Mexican passport and ID. Her real name is Yasmi Lidieth Matamoros-Mendoza.

 

Original – The Orlando Police Department has arrested two suspects in connection to a double shooting on July 6. OPD reports that its officers responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Oxalis Avenue around 12:18 p.m. on July 6, 2024.

At the scene, officers found a 45-year-old adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. A 4-year-old female victim was also hit by gunfire. Someone transported the four-year-old to an area hospital.

OPD confirms that both victims are expected to recover. Two additional victims were not injured. Detectives identified Anahi Brigitte Serrato Navarrete and Marvin Antonio Paguanda Sanchez as suspects in the shooting.

Sanchez was arrested by officers at the scene. Navarrete was apprehended by the US Marshals Services in Louisiana. Navarrete is charged with four counts of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Robbery with a Firearm, two counts of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Solicitation, and more.

Sanchez is charged with two counts of Accessory After the Fact and Tampering with Physical evidence.
