The Orlando Police Department has announced the arrest of a husband who is accused of fatally shooting his wife. OPD says its officers responded to the commercial plaza in the 5800 block of Lake Underhill Road in reference to a shooting around 1:15 p.m. on October 21, 2024.

Authorities say a female victim was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds at the scene. Witnesses reportedly told authorities that the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle. OPD says the witnesses advised that the victim’s husband fled.

Authorities claim they identified Armando Verdecia Carralero as the suspect in the shooting. Carralero was taken into custody by the Indian River Sheriff’s Office without incident. OPD has identified the victim as Yuneisy Labrada Rodriguez.

Carralero has been charged with First Degree Murder with a Firearm.
