Victoria Police report that a teenager has been arrested following an armed robbery in Woodend on Saturday. According to a news release, Macedon Ranges Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested a teenager accused of being involved in the armed robbery. According to authorities, a group of teenagers approached a 16-year-old Woodend boy around 11pm at a railway station on Urquhart Street.
The offenders are accused of threatening the victim with a knife, demanding his property, and assaulting him. The victim managed to escape with minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment. The suspect allegedly fled the scene with the victim’s clothes. They were last spotted on a train headed to Melbourne.
Officers arrested a 15-year-old Exford boy in Woodend in connection to the robbery on 7 April. The boy will face a children’s court at a later date. The other suspects are still at large.
