A man has been shot in the leg in Missouri. Now, the Cape Girardeau Police Department is investigating the incident. According to CGPD, officers responded to the 400 block of Sheridan Street after a report of shots fired around 3 p.m. on April 23, 2024.
At the scene, officers found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Aid was provided until EMS reached the scene. Around 3:45 p.m., officers located the suspect in the 2500 block of William Street. When officers attempted to contact the suspect, the suspect reportedly ran on foot.
During the chase, shots were fired. The suspect and officers were not injured during the pursuit. The suspect was eventually taken into custody. Authorities are investigating to determine who fired the shots.
