The Eugene Police Department is currently investigating a shooting at Irwin Park at 2311 West Irwin Way. EPD reports that an adult male called 911 to report he had been shot at the park around 3:31 a.m. on July 29, 2024.

At the scene, EPD officers found the victim and provided emergency medical aid. Eugene Springfield Fire reached the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. EPF is investigating the shooting.

At this time, it is believed that the victim was at the park with other individuals. An argument occurred involving the victim’s group and another group of individuals and led to the shooting. No other details are available at this time.
