One man is dead in what authorities say is Vallejo’s 16th homicide of the year. The Vallejo Police Department is currently investigating the case. VPD Patrol Division officers were in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Street handling a critical incident around 12:41 a.m. on August 24, 2024.

Around this time, VPD received a call for service about a shooting. VPD requested assistance from Solano County Sheriff’s Office deputies who responded to an incident near Lewis Brown Road and B.W. Williams Drive.

At the scene, deputies found an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. VPD’s Homicide Detectives assumed control of the investigation.
