The Ocala Police Department is currently investigating two shootings. Around 7:15 p.m. tonight, officers with OPD responded to the 2000 block of Southwest 4th Street in reference to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, authorities found one adult male with non-life-threatening injuries.

While working the scene, officers learned of another shooting incident in the 1900 block of Southwest 1st Street around 8:20 p.m. When officers reached the scene, they found an adult male with gunshot wounds in a vacant lot.

The victim of the second shooting was pronounced deceased. At this time, the Ocala Police Department can’t say whether the shootings are related. Both incidents are being investigated.
