The Ocala Police Department is investigating a double shooting at the Parkside Apartments at 621 NW 2nd Street. According to a social media post from OPD, officers responded to the apartments around 9:20 p.m. today in reference to a shooting. OPD said shots were fired through a front door multiple times.

Two adult individuals were struck by gunfire. The victims include a man and a woman. Police officers applied a tourniquet to one victim before both victims were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives are investigating the shooting.
