In a press release, SCSO said that Major Crimes Detectives and agents with Homeland Security and the FBI carried out a search warrant at 17277 Olinda Road in Anderson on March 14, 2025.
SCSO says the address is where Nikki Cheng Saelee-McCain resided when she was reported missing by family on May 22, 2024.
Detectives have worked tirelessly to locate Nikki and to determine what led up to her disappearance. Detectives say they served numerous search warrants including a prior search warrant at Nikki’s residence.
Detectives have also interviewed family members, friends, acquaintances, and others. According to the Sheriff’s Office, detectives have determined that Nikki is the victim of a homicide.
Detectives have identified persons of interest in the case, but their identities are being withheld at this time.
Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of a red truck who may have picked up an adult male in the area of Highway 36 in the western portion of Tehama County near the R Wild Horse Ranch of the Beegum George between May 18 and May 25, 2024.
A reward of up to $30,000 is being offered to anyone who leads authorities to Nikki’s location. Anyone with information is asked to call Major Crimes Unit detectives at 530-245-6135.
