The Metro Nashville Police Department has announced two arrests in connection to the fatal shooting of Steven Yates. 37-year-old Nicole Tishma was jailed in Oak Grove, Kentucky for the murder which took place outside a candle company on Old Franklin Road.

MNPD said the investigation suggests Yates was targeted for a drug-related robbery. In an update on March 7, 2024, MNPD confirmed 31-year-old Patrick Cathey was arrested in Coopertown, Tennessee. Cathey is the suspected shooter, according to authorities.
