Greater Manchester Police have announced that a man has been found guilty of acts described as “depraved and abhorrent”. Greater Manchester Police report that Nicholas Moxham has been found guilty of various charges, including rape, prostitution, slavery, and sexual assault.
Many offenses occurred at Moxham’s residence where he set up secret cameras to record the victims and his disturbing behavior. Moxham was found guilty following a 5-week trial at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
He was found guilty of Controlling Prostitution for Gain x6, Requiring a Person to Perform Forced or Compulsory Labour x3, Rape x6, Attempted Rape, Assault by Penetration x3, and Voyeurism x13.
Moxham was put on police radar in June and July 2020 when witnesses reported seeing someone called “Nick” with sex workers and hanging near homeless shelters. He allegedly recruited six women as sex workers and arranged for clients to visit them at his residence.
Some encounters were filmed covertly using secret cameras. Videos also showed Moxham raping and sexually assaulting women. In some cases, the women were unconscious. When authorities served a warrant at Moxham’s residence, they found a woman described as “pale and malnourished”.
Police also found computer hard drives, storage devices, and spyhole cameras despite Moxham’s attempt to dispose of evidence.
