A shooting at a convenience store in Covington, Georgia has left one person hospitalized. The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident.

NCSO reports that its deputies responded to a shooting at JJ’s Convenience Store on Highway 162 in Covington around 9:30 p.m. on September 18, 2024. One victim was transported to an area hospital.

NCSO says the incident is still under investigation. No other details are available at this time.
