Newton County Sheriff’s Office arrests two men for forcibly entering home and swinging metal object at a mother

Two men are behind bars after breaking into a residence and swinging a metal object at the resident. According to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an address on Kayla Lane in Neosho on April 19 in reference to a burglary alarm. Deputies were advised that the homeowner witnessed an individual on a surveillance camera on the front porch before the homeowner was notified about the alarm.

The homeowner provided authorities with descriptions based on the footage. The Neosho Police Department responded to assist. At the scene, NPD officers learned that two individuals were found hiding in a wooded area east of the residence. Both subjects fled on foot. At some point, the suspects forcibly entered a second residence on Baxter Street that was occupied by a mother and her child.

One suspect swung a metal object at the residence before the suspects fled the residence. Deputies and officers apprehended the suspects. NCSO says charges were submitted to the Newton County Prosecutor’s Office. 36-year-old Jefferson Molina and 22-year-old Edward Samuel Aldena-Reyes are charged with 2nd Degree Burglary and Property Damage.
