The Newport News Police Department has announced it is investigating a homicide on Roanoke Avenue. NNPD officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 3300 block of Roanoke Avenue around 11:46 PM on December 13, 2023.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound outside the residence. Authorities say the adult male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Newport News Police are offering no additional information at this time.
