The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened on the morning of January 24, 2024. Around 1:15 a.m., Fourth District officers responded to reports of shots fired and a person at the location. At the scene, officers found an unidentified male victim in a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. One adult male and one juvenile male arrived at a local hospital for treatment for gunshot wounds. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Another juvenile male was found at Greenspoint Drive before being taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
