A 75-year-old Bardstown man has been charged with Attempted Murder and Wanton Endangerment in the shooting of a 41-year-old resident. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office reports that its deputies responded to a verbal disturbance at 5291 Boston Road.

While traveling to the scene, deputies were informed that someone at the scene had been shot. Upon arrival, deputies found the victim who has been identified as 41-year-old Ashe Lydian.

Deputies provided medical aid until the victim could be transported to the University of Louisville Hospital. NCSO has identified the suspect as 75-year-old Joseph Lydian Jr..

Joseph was taken into custody and charged with Attempted Murder and Wanton Endangerment.
