The Nassau County Police are looking for a suspect after a man performed a lewd act in front of a high school student. A news release explains that the Fifth Squad is investigating public lewdness that happened on December 5, 2023 around 7:48 AM in Elmont.

Detectives say a 15-year-old female Elmont High School student was walking to school on 240th Street. Around 117th Road, the student was walking behind an unknown black male who allegedly turned around and began performing a lewd act.

Detectives say the victim walked in the opposite direction and phoned Nassau County Police. No injuries were reported. According to authorities, the subject was described as a black male around 5’10” tall wearing a black coat, black boots, and blue jeans.

Detectives ask anyone with information to contact the Nassau County Police Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous.
