Nashville Police arrested Glencliff High School student for bringing gun onto school property

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has arrested a student for bringing a gun onto Glencliff High School property. According to a news release from MNPD, an 11th grader at Glencliff High School was arrested after he allegedly ran from the school during a random search by school administrators.

Police say a vape and handgun magazine were discovered. The 16-year-old fled to a church where he was reportedly spotted hiding a pistol. The firearm was recovered and the juvenile was taken into custody. He is charged with juvenile handgun possession and bringing a gun on school property.
