A 13-year-old boy is dead and a 16-year-old is injured in a double shooting in Nashville, Tennessee. The Metro Nashville Police Department reports that a 15-year-old boy is in custody in the shooting which occurred in the parking lot of Red Caboose Park in Bellevue.
A 13-year-old boy was fatally wounded while his 16-year-old sister was also shot. Her injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. MNPD says gunfire erupted during a fight between teens in the park.
In a later update, MNPD identified the suspect as 15-year-old De’Anthony Osasosifo. The suspect is being charged with criminal homicide for the fatal shooting of 13-year-old Aayden Hayes and attempted criminal homicide for the shooting of Hayes’s sister.
MNPD says an ATF dog wound a gun in the darkness along the suspect’s path.
