The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is searching for a homicide suspect who was already out on bond for another murder. Now, detectives are tasked with putting the suspect back behind bars. According to MNPD, Homicide Unit and Specialized Investigations detectives are searching for 19-year-old Adrian Cameron Jr. in connection to Saturday’s robbery-related homicide of Christopher Cheeks in an alley outside a music studio on Hayes Street.
MNPD says Cameron was identified as one of the three suspects involved in the gunfire that killed 32-year-old Cheeks of California and injured a 29-year-old man. Cameron was out on bond for the murder of Josh Evans in September 2021. As part of the bond conditions, Cameron was supposed to wear an ankle monitor.
Authorities say it was cut off shortly after Saturday’s shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
