The Nampa Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing on 3rd Avenue North. Around 3:18 a.m. on January 31, 2024, dispatch received a 911 call about a person lying in an alley in the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue North. At the scene, officers located a deceased adult male with stab wounds.
The victim was later identified as 29-year-old Abel Saenz of Caldwell. NPD confirmed an adult male is in custody at this time. As the investigation is ongoing, the man in custody is not being identified.
