Mount Vernon Police investigating shooting that injured a 41-year-old man

The Mount Vernon Police Department is investigating a possible drive-by shooting that injured a 41-year-old male victim. MVPD reports that its officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 3000 block of East College Way around 12:42 p.m. on Monday.

At the scene, responding officers found a 41-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Skagit Valley Hospital for treatment. At this time, the victim’s condition is not known.
