The Moses Lake Police Department has announced that a Franklin County alleged shooter is in custody. MLPD officers and members of the Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Daniel Arceo Martinez around 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has been searching for Martinez in connection to the shooting of his mother and stepfather. MLPD says it received information that Martinez, who goes by the name “Butcher”, could be in Moses Lake.

Officers found Martinez near the homeless encampments around the movie theater and took him into custody. GCSO will take custody of the suspect who is charged in Franklin County.
