The Moorhead Police Department has arrested a man in connection to a robbery earlier tonight. According to MPD, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a business in the 3200 block of Highway 10 around 7 p.m. on April 3, 2024. MPD received a vehicle description which was relayed to responding officers.
Officers located the vehicle in minutes in the 1200 block of 20 Street South. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled southbound. The PIT maneuver was used to immobilize the vehicle in the 2400 block of 20 Street South.
MPD says officers took 52-year-old Abraham Cozzi into custody without further incident. According to the Moorhead Police Department, the investigation indicated that the incident was a theft and not a robbery. Cozzi was booked into the Clay County Jail for Felony Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle and Misdemeanor Theft.
