According to a social media post from the Montgomery Police Department in Alabama, a suspect has been charged in the slaying of 39-year-old Rechardo Wright on November 17, 2023. Police say that MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 1700 block of Lanier Lane in reference to someone shot on November 17 around 6:10 PM. At the scene, authorities made contact with Wright who suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced ceased at the scene. Authorities later determined that the incident had occurred in the 300 block of Fairview Avenue. The Montgomery Police Department has charged 22-year-old Ladarius Arrington with Murder. Arrington was identified as a suspect, taken into custody, and placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
