Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are actively investigating various emails containing threats targeting Montgomery County and Ohio school systems.

While authorities do not have evidence that the threats are credible, they are taking all precautions to ensure the safety of staff, faculty, and students.

Montgomery County Sheriff Rob Streck emphasized, “The safety and security of our community’s educational institutions are of utmost importance. We are working closely with our federal and local partners to thoroughly investigate these email threats and ensure the safety of our schools.”

Investigators are reminding parents and students to report threatening or suspicious activity to their local police department.

Various law enforcement agencies throughout Ohio continue to investigate the incident.
