Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigating after fetus found in small urn floating in pond at Copper Sage Park

Update – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said in an update that the Forensics Center completed its examination of the fetus. It revealed that the fetus was approximately 12 to 13 weeks gestation. There is no evidence of medical intervention and it appears to be a case of miscarriage.

MCSO says there is no criminal offense and no crime has occurred.

Original Story – A small urn containing a human fetus was found earlier today. Now, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation. According to MCSO, a Woodlands Township Park Ranger found the urn at Copper Sage Park at 75 South Golden Arrow Circle around 3:50 p.m. on April 16.

A small urn was found floating. Upon inspection, what looked like a human fetus was found inside. MCSO detectives and a death investigator with the Montgomery County Forensic Center responded to investigate. MCSO says the fetus was in the early stages of development. An autopsy will be completed before more information will be released.
