The Montgomery County Department of Police reports that a 15-year-old male and a 13-year-old male are being charged in connection to a shooting on September 3, 2024 in Wheaton-Glenmont.

Around 3:36 p.m., 4th District officers responded to a shooting in progress in the 2300 block of Glenmont Circle. Detectives say a confrontation occurred among the 15-year-old, the 13-year-old, and several juvenile victims.

At some point, a handgun was displayed. When the victims fled, the suspects chased after them. A short time later, a vehicle was in the area of the 2300 block of Glenmont Circle. The 15-year-old suspect allegedly shot at the vehicle’s occupants.

The two occupants were not injured. Shell casings were recovered from the scene. The suspects are currently in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Services.
