On Friday night, a young boy went missing before being found in the neighborhood pool. The three-year-old was pronounced deceased. The Montgomery County Department of Police says its Major Crimes Division detectives are investigating the death in Rockville.

Around 11:44 p.m. on July 5, 2024, the Emergency Communications Center received a call about a missing boy. Rockville City Police responded to Elmcroft Court where the three-year-old was located in a neighborhood pool.

Officers performed CPR until the child could be transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police do not suspect foul play in this case.
