The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that it had arrested a teacher at the Prunedale Christian Academy in the 8000 block of Prunedale North Road in Prunedale. MCSO says that it received a report of a sexual assault involving a juvenile and teacher at the school on November 7, 2024.

Detectives claim they were able to develop probable cause to arrest 22-year-old Michael Louis Moon on November 8, 2024. Police say Moon was arrested for Sexual Assault of a Juvenile Student.

Moon is currently being held in the Monterey County Jail where he is being held on a $1 million bond. Detectives say information obtained led them to believe there could be additional victims.
