A missing teenager from California has been found deceased in Keizer Rapids Park. The Independence Police Department reports that the teenager who disappeared under the Willamette River has been found deceased.

IPD has identified the teenager as 13-year-old Gregorio Maximiano-Solano of California. IPD detectives and the Polk County medical examiner responded to the scene. Around 5 p.m. on July 7, 2024, Maximiano-Solano disappeared under the water while playing in the Willamette River near Riverview Park.

Authorities immediately searched for the teenager. Over 24 hours later, the search turned into a recovery process. No other details are available at this time.
