A woman is dead following a shooting in Nashville, Tennessee on Sunday morning. The Metro Nashville Police Department reports that it is investigating the fatal shooting of a female victim who was found at the Alta Lake Greenway trailhead off Dodson Chapel Road around 10 a.m..

MNPD specifies that the victim is black and likely in her 20s. She had no identification on her and was wearing dark pants and a pink bra. The woman had long braids. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities at 615-742-7463.
