Officers with the Memphis Police Department were dispatched to the 3300 block of River Valley Lane at 5:14 p.m. on December 31, 2023, to investigate a report of a shooting.

Responding officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics transported the male victim to St. Francis Hospital. The victim was listed in critical condition.
