The Memphis Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting on Frayser-Raleigh Road. Officers responded to the 3900 block of Frayser-Raleigh Road around 6:09 PM on December 9, 2023. Upon arrival, officers located a female victim with an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. According to a social media post from the Memphis Police Department, the victim was observed on video at the location when unidentified individuals suddenly shot her.

Investigators say they witnessed four males shooting in the direction of the victim before leaving the scene. The males were occupying two different vehicles. Authorities describe one vehicle as a silver four-door sedan with a taped-up right rear passenger window.

The second vehicle is described as a white four-door sedan with tinted windows. MPD confirms the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
