A fight at the Discovery Meadows Park on Thursday night led to a stabbing. Now, the McMinnville Police Department is investigating the incident. MPD reports that officers responded to a fight in progress at the park around 7:58 p.m. on May 23, 2024.
At the scene, officers found an adult male suffering from knife wounds. The man was one of the involved parties and had sustained the wounds during the altercation. The victim was transported to Willamette Valley Medical Center before being airlifted to a Portland area hospital.
At this time, the victim’s condition is not known. MPD is working through evidence and interviewing witnesses. No other details are available at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call MPD Detective Riley Rediger at 503-434-6500.
