According to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office a woman has been arrested after a juvenile passed away at the hospital. Around 10:50 a.m. on January 3, 2024, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 9600 block of Hillandale Lane to assist the Richmond Township Fire Protection District.

The call regarded a medical emergency involving an unresponsive juvenile male. The male later passed away at the hospital. MCSO said 45-year-old Cara Ullrich had been arrested as a result of the ongoing investigation. She was arrested on warrants as well as two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Endangering the Life or Health of a Child.

She is scheduled to make her initial court appearance around 1:15 p.m. on January 5.
